SOCH Nepal conducts 2nd ARI SOCH
SOCH Nepal conducts the second phase of Advocacy Readiness Index (ARI) Assessment between May 30 to June 1, 2018 in Kathmandu. NEPAN facilialiate to conduct the ARI for 2018. NEPAN. ARI made a detail assessment on institutional capacity development of SOCH Nepal.SOCH board and staff members actively participated on the assessment.
On the first day of the assessment, the facilitators had an interview with the President, Executive Director, Project Coordinator, and Admin/Accounting Officer of SOCH Nepal. Interview was intended to understand Past and present advocacy initiations taken by SOCH Nepal. Specialists from NEPAN (Mr. Gobinda Poudel and Mr. Dibesh Sayami) followed the prescribed method of ARI. They also explained the methodology and time duration of the assessment.
First ARI was conducted by Mitra Samaj in 2017 followed by NEPAN in 2018. 2nd ARI compared the score from two consecutive years 2017 and 2018 in each domain of ARI. In every domain, there has been increment in the score by the end of this assessment. The overall average score has increased from 0.81 to 2.38 between 2017-2018. The assessment helped to measure the progress of SOCH Nepal on advocacy and identified the area to improve for the coming year. At the end of the assessment, the SOCH team developed action plan primarily focusing the areas of improvement.
