Memorandum to the CDO of Gorkha concerning reconstruction

Gorkha, Magh 21, Sthaneswor Duwadi, Advocate and the Coordinator of Public Private Working group (PPWG) submitted a memorandum to Jitendra Basnet, the Chief District Officer (CDO) of Gorkha, highlighting the concern over the delaying in aftermath reconstruction work, missing name on the beneficiaries’ list, encroachment of agriculture market area and poor management of transportation of reconstruction materials. After the submission of the memorandum, Jitendera Basnet made his commitment to address the public concern as soon as possible.

Most of the houses and public infrastructure were fully damaged by the April earthquake, however still many beneficiaries are not listed on the list of beneficiary, Additionally, beneficiaries were not able to receive 2^nd and 3^rdinstallment even after completion of construction of their houses.
