Humanist College Seminar on Critical Thinking

SOCH Nepal is continuously organizing seminars on critical thinking at various colleges. The events were organized with the objective to promote Scientific way of thinking to end various forms of injustices and discriminations. This also develops innovative thinking among youth.

Humanist Yearbook program

SOCH Nepal is continuously publishing Humanist Year to promote the philosophical aspect of Humanism. The book covers the different themes each year such as witch-craft, scientific thinking, religion etc.. each year.

Youth Camps

SOCH Nepal organizes annual youth camps for leadership development where youth also learn about critical thinking. They will get an opportunity to interact with successful people from different fields.

Humanist Relief distribution program for earthquake victims

The 2015 mega-earthquake has killed more than 8000 people with unpredictable loss of property. SOCH Nepal launched the program to provide humanitarian relief to people in pain. SOCH Nepal reached Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Dolakha, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk and Okhaldhunga district to provide the relief program. SOCH Nepal provided immediate relief programs as well as reconstruction of individual houses and schools.

Humanist Organization Capacity Development program

Since there was huge attraction to the Humanist philosophy in Nepal. IHEU assisted SOCH Nepal to strengthen its capacity for enrolling more members and developing their capacity. The program was also intended to improve internal governance of SOCH Nepal, publication, outreach campaigns, lobby and advocacy.

Promotion of Humanist Philosophy in Nepal

SOCH Nepal is the first Humanist organization established in Nepal representing minority non-religious people in Nepal that represents a wider spectrum of Humanist culture. Humanist philosophy is a deeply rooted culture in Nepal. This program was intended to identify Traditional Nepali Humanist cultures and organize like minded people to strengthen local Humanist movement.
