Mr. Khadka is a university lecturer, writer and youth mobilizer of Nepal. He has done master’s degree in political science. He is the founder of SOCH Youth. He is also a trainer in critical thinking. He has provided training on Humanism and critical thinking for more than thirty thousand youth. He has written books on Humanism, Religion and politics
Mohasin Alimiya

Mr. Alimiya has key knowledge on social justice. He can empower the CSOs on lobby and advocacy. He is also a trainer in civic engagement, and CSOs capacity development. He is also a media person by profession.

Mr. Singh is pioneer advocate on Humanist movement. He has initiated various community action through awareness raise. He has coordinated among writers to publish several books and articles on Humanism. He has also established community radio for awareness.
Indra Bhandari

Mr. Bhandari has expertise on account and finance. He has served in Nepal government for more than decade. He also holds key knowledge on cooperative and microfinancing.
Ruku Ranapal

Mrs. Ranapal is a pioneer leader on women’s rights and dalit’s rights in Nepal. He has served as honorable commissioner in the National Dalit Commission of Nepal. She is also agro-entrepreneurship. She has a deep knowledge on politics, Dalit issues, women’s issues and governance.
Bimala Khadka

Ms. Khadka is a cooperative expert and philanthropic person in Nepal. She is the civil society activist in the issue of gender, caste and livelihood. She is also a writer and poet. Mr. Khadka has remained the key person of cooperative established by SOCH Nepal.
Balkrishna Shrestha
Advisor
Mr. Neva is lecturer by profession. He is the retired lecturer from T.U. He taught law and Nepali language. He is well known figure in his district (Baglung) for initiating education for all. He has fought iliteracy by making thousands of local residents literate. He has translated some books into Nepali from foreign language. Those books are one of the best selling books of Nepal. He has also started Humanist award program providing personal grant.
Shanti Gurung

Mrs. Gurung is a national figure to promote women’s cooperative and microfinance. She has served SOCH Nepal as president for two terms. She has been key contributor for the Humanist Model Village program, and Campaign against harmful traditional practices. He runs a cooperative consisting more than 3000 women members.
TN Ghimire
Past President
Mr. Ghimire is writer and editor. He also has media background. He has special command in language and writing. He has served in Transparency International Nepal, Himal Media and other reputed organizations. He has edited more than dozen books in governance, Humanism and Media. He has served SOCH Nepal as a president.
Rabindra Bhattarai
Past President
Mr. Adhikari is famous criminal justice lawyer and teacher of Nepal. He has good knowledge on philosophy and language. He has written various books and articles related to criminal justice, Humanism and linguistic. Mr. Adhikari served in Nepal Bar Association, Community Radio Federation and similar organizations. He is also a lecturer in Nepal Law Campus.
Ramesh Poudyal

Mr. Poudel has more than 30 years experience in agro-economy. He has served in various countries to promote livelihood and agriculture. He has served in FAO and similar international agencies. Mr. Poudel is the founder president of SOCH Nepal. He also has the expertise in organizational development.
Uttam Niraula
Executive Director
Mr. Uttam Niraula is the central committee member of Humanists International and Executive Director of SOCH Nepal. He is persuing doing Ph.D. on Conflict, Peace, and Development. He has coordinated projects on Governance, Culture and Peace. He is also the founder of SOCH Nepal which works on Governance, Human Rights, freedom and livelihood. He has also worked for UNDP and WHO in various issues. He is also the founder of Asian Working group of IHEYO. He has been the campaigner for the law against witch-hunting and other improper cultural practices in Nepal. He has published 7 books on Humanism in Nepal. Also organized four international conferences on Humanism, untouchability and youth activism.
Sagar Devkota

Mr. Sagar Devkota is a prospective name in the development and financial sectors. Pursuing a Chartered Accountancy degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he possesses immense knowledge of the financial spectra, capped off with commendable experience. After accomplishing the articleship in audit practice, he rose to prominence in the finance and administration department of different non-government organizations where he ennobled in the overall office and community based activities. From excelling in the academics to have built an impressive portfolio in multiple sectors; audit practice, development sector, freelancing and teaching; he is only getting stronger.
Rajendra Koirala
Project Officer
Rajendra Koirala is Project Officer at SOCH Nepal. He obtained his Master’s degree in sociology from Tribhuvan University. He is a strong personality in the fields of development, social justice, and social movements. He is also an expert in Social accountability tools, governance and local government.
Hari Acharya
Research Officer
Hari Acharya is a senior researcher at Soch Nepal. He obtained his MPhil degree in sociology from Tribhuvan University and has since used this knowledge to inform and advance his research in the fields of development, social justice, and social movements. He was dedicated to his studies and was involved in several social initiatives. His passion for researching solutions to problems in Nepalese society has enabled him to contribute significantly towards socio-economic development of the nation. Acharya’s commitment to build a more equitable society has been his primary driver throughout his career, as evidenced by his current research position. He continues to use his knowledge and skillset to tackle social injustice through various avenues of research. He has conducted numerous studies related to health disparities among marginalized communities, women’s access to resources and decision-making power in their communities, and the impact of labor migration on Nepali households. His research findings have contributed significantly to our understanding of how unequal gender relations affect poverty reduction efforts in Nepal. In addition, he also engages with public advocacy efforts for better legal protection for migrant workers and providing educational opportunities for the marginalized
Mohasin Ali Miya

Mr. Ali Miya is District Officer from SOCH Nepal. He is responsible to deliver field level activities implemented by SOCH Nepal in Gorkha District. He closely works with Local Government, various level stakeholders and the community. He has contributed local level governments for policy formation and multi-sector engagement. He is also a renowned media person.
Durga Prasad Ghimire
Program/ Research Officer
Durga Prasad Ghimire is a Program/ Research Officer at SOCH Nepal, holding a Master’s degree in English Literature and Philosophy, and Political Science from Tribhuvan University. Along with being a freelancer, he is an accomplished writer who has published articles in daily newspapers and online media. Durga is a prominent figure in the areas of development, civil society movement, social justice, and social movements. He is a seasoned expert in social accountability tools, governance, and local government, making him a valuable asset to his organization and the wider community.

Mr. shrestha is District officer of SOCH Nepal, Okhaldhunga. He has skills on community mobilizatio, communication, documentation, advocacy. He has key skills on GESI and local level advocacy. He is also well-known media person.
Pramod Pokharel
IT Expert
Mr. Pokhrel, an IT graduate, has been working actively in the field of Information Technology since 2012. He worked as technical consultant at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM). Working as technical expert in several projects under Ministry of Finance (MoF), Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA), Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) for COVID-19 data management, COVID-19 Response Consultant at World Health Organization Nepal, worked as a digital strategist and communication focal person for Buddha Air. He is the Co-Founder at Code for Core Innovation, an IT Company based in Kathmandu.
Anjan Acharya

Mr. Anjan Acharya is an experienced leader in the information technology sector, having been at the helm of SOCH Nepal since its inception. He has several years of experience working in the field, starting in 2013. He possesses a wide range of skills, including designing and developing comprehensive systems, networking systems, risk management software, mobile application development, and data collection portals. Additionally, he has analytical skills, experience in monitoring and evaluation, and the ability to develop proposals and manage data. He also has experience in program evaluation and facilitating documentation of reports and success stories. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering and has a background in research in the field of information technology and software engineering. He is considered compassionate, driven, and a quick learner who excels at working in a team environment. He is also involved in the field of Tourism, Research and Development, as well as Consultant Officer for different national and international organizations.
